Goldspot’s Indie Pop “Ina Mina Dika”

“Ina Mina Dika” is a fun, catchy Bollywood song made famous in the 1950’s by Asha Bosle and Kishore Kumar. For decades, it has brought together generations with it’s nonsensical lyrics.

Paying homage to this cult classic, Goldspot, a Los Angeles-based indie pop band founded by singer/songwriter Siddhartha Khosla, remade “Ina Mina Dika” for the soundtrack to the film, Today’s Special, written by and starring Aasif Mandvi from The Daily Show.

Also contributing to the project, was the graceful and nice to look at, Payal Kadakia. Payal is the Artistic Director and Founder of the Sa Dance Acadamy, named after “Sa” the first note in the Indian musical octave. She was the perfect addition to the tour de New York. Who wants to stand next to her during a dance routine? Not us!
