$100 per centerpiece? You must be out of your mind! As desi weddings tend to be rather large, the price tag for premium centerpieces can reach $4000. That’s about 40 pairs of sexy black boots for the Fall, or 3 years worth of facials! Today’s savvy bride can do a lot better for herself, here are some ides for unique centerpieces that will wow your guests without breaking the bank.
The Gift of Love
The gift-inspired centerpiece (guests choose their own favors) are eye catching and interactive. You can coordinate with your wedding theme and they can be filled with candies, soaps, etc and stacked atop cake or cupcake stands!
This lovely couple filled their boxes with brown tissue, Hershey kisses and a card with donation info that they made to a children’s organization that they had been a part of for the past 6 years.
Flying the Coup
I love these bird cage centerpieces from mintsflower.com. They give a fantastic vintage feel to the wedding!
Fruit Masala
We’re pretty lucky that the vibrant colors in desi weddings are yellow, orange, green. It opens up a spectrum of opportunities for using fruit to bring color to a table. Costco card anyone?
Just a Bite
Mixing together fruit and flowers can produce beautiful results! Plus the aromas are sure to tantalize the senses.
Love is Harmony
The flower in water centerpiece is very big now, and also cost effective! A trip to your nearest wholesale flower distributer and a swing by Michaels is all you need to recreate this look! In the second image, the vase was only $1.50 at Ikea!
I Fly Like Paper
You might not believe your eyes, but all these flowers are paper! Very popular in the 60′s, crepe paper flowers are making a comeback (thanks to Martha Stewart).
Modern Chic
Another take on the paper flower, this one with some modern edge!

Family Tree
Those funky branch centerpieces are known as Manzanita centerpieces. This has to be my favorite! The branches are usually displayed as tall looming trees with beads hanging from them. But this design from Mints keeps it compact and adds these beautifully delicate butterflies!
